About

Hello! I’m a Master’s student at the University of Manitoba, having joined in Fall 2024. I completed my Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from the Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Gazipur in May 2023, after which I served as a lecturer at Green University of Bangladesh (GUB). My time at GUB allowed me the rewarding experience of teaching and learning from students while gaining deeper insights into the workings of academia.

During my bachelor’s, I completed a thesis on blockchain and cybersecurity, which fueled my interest in exploring new areas of computing. For my master’s research, I’ve shifted focus to Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) with a specific interest in understanding user experiences. I’m particularly interested in how users form mental models around the outputs generated by generative AI and large language models (LLMs) and aim to explore how informed users’ decisions are when interacting with these tools.

Beyond academia, I love traveling and discovering new places. I’m an avid reader and enjoy exploring a wide range of genres, but above all, I seek out books with captivating plots.
