About
Hi there! My name is Kriza, but you can call me KC. I am currently an undergraduate Computer Science Honours Co-op student at the University of Manitoba. My research interest lies within the ethical and fair development of AI tools and the intersection of sociology and technology. I aim to pursue graduate studies in HCI one day, as I hope to become a researcher and a software developer that centralizes users in technology creation and throughout its development process.
I work closely with Dr. Houda El Mimouni as a research assistant. I initially started assisting her with her research in HRI—particularly telepresence robots. This summer of 2025, I was a USRA student and had the wonderful opportunity to work on a research in Exploring Ethnic Identity and Cultural Resonance in Generative-AI.
Outside academia, I love doing arts, reading, cooking dishes from different cuisines, and doing escape rooms with friends. I also really enjoy travelling and exploring new places!
