About

Hi traveler! I'm Peter, a Vietnamese second year Computer Science Honours student minoring in Mathematics and Film Studies. My research interest is Computer Science Education, and so I'm currently volunteering under Dr. Celine Latulipe in revising and evaluating a Java programming activity book to be used in introductory computer science courses. Currently, I'm also doing research in Matrix Algebra under the course MATH 4920, and formerly, I was an URA holder at the GADA Lab working on pursuit-evasion models in theoretical computer science.

Outside of academia, I'm the current elected Director of Student Affairs of the Computer Science Students' Association, under which I authored the Computer Science First Year Guide. I'm also leading an initiative called Robo-Bisons with goals of sustainably sending undergraduate students out to national competitions and conferences. Lastly, I do recreational web development, game development, competitive programming, CTFs, data science, and whatever I feel like dipping my toes in.

My penultimate goal is to become the most complete Computer Science student, through which I can help foster the next generation of CS students to be best prepared to pursue their dreams in this vast field — working with Dr. Celine and the HCI Lab is the best way for me to achieve that target. If you're a prospective or undergraduate student with any questions, please feel free to contact me!
