Investigating Tools for Designing Virtual Spaces

Investigating Tools for Designing Virtual Spaces

The use of virtual spaces for social interactions has increased due to the prevalence of remote work. Many platforms that offer virtual spaces have their in-built world building tools. This research investigates two world building tools (Gather.Town and TILED) by having users with background in interior design and architecture build virtual worlds. This research attempts to highlight the complexity of these tools for novices, specifically users with no computer science background.
