I decided on a router but now I had to set it up to work at home while still ensure my network was secure. So, as I researched the router settings related to security, I discovered how to enable features like MAC Address Filtering, restricting access by a password, and encrypting the data that is being transferred from the router to the computers on the network. It was all very interesting to learn how a typical network works and how to make my computers less vulnerable to attacks.</em> | ||
