Revision is an integral part of the writing process where you look at your writing and figure out if the structure makes sense. You want the reader to get the flow and understand what the next paragraph talks about. Also, you want to make sure that important points are covered so that no sections are left out without proper elaboration.

Introduction

Imagine you were given a manual on how to fix your car engine. You took the book home, opened it up and started reading. What would make you throw the book away? How would you react if there was no 'Table of Contents'? Would you continue reading the book if there were no definitions on terms such as "carburetor" or "distribution cap"? What if there was no introduction to the chapter you were reading about?

What the car manual lacks is 'Revision'.
